It was such a privilege and fantastic opportunity to be given the green light to sculpt a Cyberman from the classic British Science Fiction series, Doctor Who. The BBC could not have been more enthusiastic or motivating with the only caveat being that could it be the new Cyberman variant, which at that time was from the episode ‘A Nightmare in Silver’ which aired in the May of 2013.
This is one of my favourite pieces and I am so exceptionally grateful for the response I got with its release which was at the time, a truly experimental risk, creating an artistically styled statement piece rather than a straight copy as such. The BBC also passed the Cyberman based on emailed pictures of the clay sculpture within 12 minutes, which was amazing.
We are now offering the Cyberman as a made to order piece as part of our Edge Sculpture Classic Series. Therefore, now only available to order from ourselves directly.
